Who gets in where
Alberta: 18+ · photo ID under 25Casino floor: 18+. Casino Restaurant: no minors. Comedy nights: 18+. Winner's Edge card: 18+, government ID required. Staff will ask guests who look younger than 25 to present a valid government photo ID.
The age rule and the ID check
Entry to the casino floor at Red Deer Resort & Casino is limited to guests aged 18 and over. The same age of 18 is the legal threshold for gambling in Alberta. Casino staff are obliged to verify valid government-issued photo ID whenever a guest appears to be under 25. A guest's appearance, not their stated age, decides whether the check happens.
The next thing guests usually ask about is the Winner's Edge card. The resort uses Winner's Edge, the loyalty program run with AGLC. The card is collected at Guest Services on showing government ID, and members must be at least 18. Anyone planning to get one should have that ID on hand at the first visit.

Rooms with their own rules
The Casino Restaurant, set at the heart of the casino floor with Western and Asian dishes, does not admit minors. Laugh Out Lounge comedy nights are also for guests 18 and over. Those shows take place inside HIY Steaks, and show dates are posted on the resort's entertainment page.
A few spaces are limited to hotel guests instead. The heated indoor pool and hot tub, open daily 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, are for hotel guests. So is the fitness centre, open 24 hours. The Club Lounge on the 9th floor serves only guests of Club Level rooms.
What the resort does not publish
No dress code or smoking policy is published by Red Deer Resort & Casino. It also has no published list of ID accepted at the casino floor door. Guests with a question on any of these points can call the casino at 403-342-5825. For hotel matters, the front desk answers at 403-346-2091, 24 hours on all 7 days.
Accessibility at the resort
Red Deer Resort & Casino has barrier-free entrances, elevators and accessible washrooms. Questions at the desk
What is the minimum age for the casino floor?
Entry to the casino floor requires guests to be at least 18. Alberta's legal gambling age is the same.
Which ID should guests bring?
Guests should bring current photo ID from a government. Staff are required to check it whenever a guest seems under 25. No list of accepted ID is published by the resort, so the casino at 403-342-5825 takes specific questions.
Can a family with children eat at the Casino Restaurant?
The Casino Restaurant, at the middle of the casino floor, does not admit minors. A family with children should plan to eat elsewhere. The hotel desk at 403-346-2091 can answer questions about the other venues.
Are service animals allowed?
Service animals are welcome at the resort. Pet-friendly hotel rooms are a separate matter, available for cats and dogs with a surcharge.
